Onticpost is a publication on technology that tests things and keeps its own data. It is the index of technological reality.
What is the index?
The index is the data and the tools: what we measured, on what machine, and when. Every entry carries the figure, the date and how we know it. Open the index.
What is the post?
The post is what we publish from it: news, reviews, research and guides. A review ends with a score out of five, shown in our On tic icon, one icon for each point. A guide shows how to check something yourself.
What do we cover?
Technology broadly. AI comes first, because it is what we can test most often on our own machines. Robotics is covered as news until makers send us robots to test.
Where do the figures come from?
From our own runs, on machines we name. Our tests so far use a Mac with an M4 Pro chip and 48 GB of memory. How a figure was found is on how we test.
